Choline chloride, for the liver
Choline supports liver function and how the body moves and processes fat. A raw diet with real fat content, like the salmon oil in this formula, needs choline working alongside it to keep fat metabolism running cleanly.
PureSea kelp powder, for the thyroid
Iodine is a single-purpose nutrient. Its job is thyroid hormone production, and there is no substitute source that does the job as directly as kelp. PureSea kelp powder is the formula's iodine source, present in a small, controlled amount because both too little and too much iodine cause problems.
Potassium chloride and non-iodized salt, for hydration and nerve signalling
Potassium, sodium, and chloride work as a trio, the electrolytes that manage fluid balance and let nerve and muscle signals fire correctly. Potassium chloride and non-iodized salt supply this trio in the ratios a raw meat and bone base does not fully provide on its own. Non-iodized salt is used specifically because the formula already sources its iodine from kelp, and doubling up would push the total too high.
Manganese citrate and ProPath Zn 170, the enzyme cofactors
Manganese and zinc do not build tissue directly. They activate the enzymes that do. Dozens of biological processes, from wound healing to skin integrity to bone development, depend on enzymes that cannot function without a trace mineral cofactor present. Manganese citrate and ProPath Zn 170 are that supply line, present in tiny amounts because that is all an enzyme cofactor ever needs to be.
Ferrous sulphate monohydrate, for oxygen transport
Iron sits at the centre of haemoglobin, the molecule that carries oxygen through the blood. Meat itself contains iron, but ferrous sulphate monohydrate closes the gap to make sure the formula's total iron content is reliable and consistent, batch to batch.
Vitamin B complex, for energy metabolism
The B vitamins, eight of them together, run the chemical reactions that turn food into usable energy. They function as a group more than as individual nutrients, which is why the formula adds them as a complex rather than isolating one or two. A shortfall in any single B vitamin tends to show up as a shortfall in energy metabolism generally.
None of these eight ingredients would make a headline claim on a pack. They are the reason the headline claims, the coat, the digestion, the energy, actually hold up in practice.
